The recipe for success was to fabricate and store product in our shop until the project site was acclimated with proper temperature and humidity control. This meant we were storing finished product at the company in our shop, which takes up production floorspace, but it is what was required to ensure that the finished product went directly from our shop to the site, where it could be promptly field installed and finished, which seals and prevents additional cupping and damage.
Challenge in project
The project schedule was not only tight in terms of duration, but also the time of year, being the winter, created additional hazards that made working and installing casework, wall panels, custom units, and wood trim, much more difficult. Wood is notorious for twisting, cupping, and swelling when humidity is high, and this project was perfect for the conditions that creates those types of issues.

We were pleased that the wall paneling, which is most susceptible to damage, including warping, did not have the issues that we were expecting. The product went onto the walls and the painter was right behind to finish and seal, to ensure a clean and complete installation.
The additional desk units and wood trim accents only complimented the wall paneling, and overall the site looks amazing.
