ICCU Newport Highway

The Challenge

This project had many trades integrating with our scope of work. There was bank equipment, VAT tubing, electrical, security, and data, all that required us to be diligent about ensuring that all of these items worked with our teller line die wall. The bank equipment had an extremely tight tolerance and we had to guarantee that once the die wall was on-site, that this equipment would fit into the space we provided. The teller line had multiple layers of solid surface and plastic laminate countertops, and this challenged our engineering and custom fabrication department.

Our Solution

We sent a field technician to the site to lay out the exact location and fitment of the teller line prior to framing and gyp. board installation. This allowed us to exactly pinpoint where all of the VAT tubes, electrical, data, etc., was going to land once our teller line was delivered. We did due to the high time and cost that would've been required had it not worked out as intended. These dimensions were then taken from the site visits and input into our drafting software, which allowed us to digitally create the setting in full-scale to make sure all scopes integrate together.

The Results

We fabricated the teller line and other items on this project, and the fit was what was expected. All of the extra time that was dedicated to this facet of the project paid off when the owner moved into their new facility. The bank equipment, VAT tubing, electrical, data, and other items fit as desired and we were able to add another notch to our belts with a complicated, yet functional and professional work space. We look forward to the next project of similar scope where we can revisit this project for guidance and to improve upon.
