The Challenge
One of the many challenges of this project was the slatwall system inside the staircase. This slatwall continues up four floors of stairwell, and the entire installation is mounted to the inside of the stairwell using stainless steel plates and lag bolts. The challenge of this system is figuring out best how to modularize it, where to start, and where to end, to ensure that the final look is achieved, while maintaining the ability to maneuver it into place.
Our Solution
The solution was to mock-up the installation in our shop; figuring out which way to split the installation into panels, prior to sending the final product to the jobsite. This ensured proper fit, look, and ease of installation once delivered.
The Results
The end result highlights our team's ability to come together to find solutions prior to encountering them on-site. Even though this product, coupled with the stair treads, are not typical items we manufacture, it shows that our capabilities expand far beyond casework while maintaining the same quality and eye-pleasing results.
